EmployerOne Survey now open
EmployerOne is an annual survey that asks local employers about their workforce needs in 2018. Led by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin, the survey was created by workforce, economic, education and business groups who came together to develop a collaborative, efficient way to obtain reliable local labour market information from employers. The EmployerOne survey is designed to get this information while respecting the employer’s confidentiality and limited time. It allows employers, once a year, a chance to communicate their combined workforce needs to stakeholders, colleges, universities, school board and employment service providers.
In the years since the EmployerOne surveys first began, there has been a phenomenal increase in uptake. In 2017, 571 businesses participated in the EmployerOne survey, an increase of 117% from the previous year. The number of employees represented in the surveys also grew 421% to 69,488. Participating employers help to paint a picture of what is happening within the local industries and also gain insight into the local workforce, benefitting their business development.
There is no cost to participate and the survey can be taken anytime within the month of January. The survey link is now open here.
